Acerbis tie down
Product information
These straps are designed to secure the motorcycle securely to the trailer, preventing it from moving or tilting during travel.
They consist of a buckle, a strong fabric strap and S-hooks. The strap is passed around the handlebar of the bike and attached at the other end to the trolley using the opposite hook. The motorcycle tie-down straps are equipped with a locking device to prevent accidental release during transport.
In motorcycle lashing straps, quality is seen in the long term. Low quality belts tend to loosen after little use, putting the transport of the motorcycle at risk and making it dangerous if the motorcycle is transported on the trolley, as it could fall over. Therefore, the quality of the material of the strap and the lock button are essential elements to ensure maximum safety during motorcycle transport.
The rubberized upper hook is equipped with a safety clip to prevent accidental release of the strap. The curved rings are designed to prevent the bike's finish from being damaged in transit by having an even weight distributing action across the contact area with the bike once the straps are pulled tight.
Basic steps to follow for fitting motorcycle tie down straps to a specific trailer:
1. Place the motorcycle on the trolley along the rails so that it is stable and balanced.
2. Connect the straps: Take the motorcycle tie-down straps and place them on the tie-down points on the trolley. Pass the other end around the handlebar so that they are secure. Make sure that the straps do not touch delicate or fragile parts of the motorcycle.
3. Adjust the straps: Once the tie-down straps are in place, adjust their tension to ensure that the motorcycle is securely fastened to the trailer. Make sure that the tension is even on both belts and that the motorcycle is stable and upright.
4. Visually inspect the straps and tie-down points to verify that they are in good condition and that there are no signs of damage or wear.
The anchor belts for motorcycles are subject to wear and deterioration over time, it is important to replace the belts when they show signs of failure or when they fray. It is essential to check the belts before each use for any signs of wear or damage, particularly if the belts have been used extensively or if they have been exposed to extreme weather conditions.
